Rory
LOVING the new lens.
Abby
Abby came. She called the cat Meow, she called me daddy (sorry, Jim), and she called Khalil money. If she wanted milk, she would sound out really slowly moooorree milk? Rory was not her biggest fan, so we tried to keep her away from Rory. But she LOVED Rory and only wanted to be friends. So she would lay on her stomach, almost nose to nose with Rory, and inch her way closer and closer, until someone told her to move or until Rory took off. Abby dances, and is just a joy. She is always smiling, and happy. We miss her.

Abby
My friend Amy and her daughter Abby came to visit us a few weeks ago. Besides wedding pictures, these are the most recent pictures I have. Strangely, I have over 200 pictures of Abby and like… 3 of Amy, and they are of her kissing Abby. What happened there? Well- see above. Who could resist taking a million pictures of this cutie?? It’s a bit dark, I know, but I love the look on her face and her eyes… those eyes… this girl is going to be a heartbreaker. Watch out, daddy!!

Edible
The fact that Annie still wants to do this with me is amazing. Edible was our assigment probably… I don’t know, over a week ago. Annie, as per usual, had it up on her blog on time.
These are brownies- I tried to make “brownie bites” and they look more like brownie muffins. Hopefully they’re still yummy. They look and smell yummy, that’s for sure.

Natalee
I spent the day in the park- well, not the day, maybe 40 minutes, tops, with Natalee and her mom. I haven’t had time to edit any of the pictures, but I got a few cute ones. She’s such a doll. She even repeats the word fuck if you say it too many times. It’s horrible to laugh but it’s too hard not to.

Isolation
Um, over a week ago Isolation was the topic. Annie, as always, posted hers on time. I was about to be a day late then the internet went down. Then I had a crappy week and wasn’t really online or on the computer a whole lot. BUT in fairness to me, I did take the picture by the deadline!
It’s an odd picture for isolation. I was walking around in the woods behind my house on a grey day. I found that there were a ton of tree branches that were twisted around each other: the opposite of isolated, they were all entwined. I don’t know how or why they do this, but I was fascinated. Why I chose this picture for Isolation is because even the tree branches don’t want to be isolated- they found each other and entangled themselves. This was my favorite capture of that.

Wake Me Up
This week’s assignment was Morning Routine. Annie of course had her picture up on time, and I am just not that good. This week has been hectic. This is my morning savior, my coffee. You can see my Senseo in the background, too.

Supervising Natalee
You don’t see Natalee in this first picture, but she is there. Rory really has no desire to be friends with Natalee, but she sure does feel like she has to supervise. It gets to the point where, if Natalee is in a different room that her mom and I, Rory will be in the room with Natalee. If she feels like Natalee is getting into trouble, she will come running to where I am to get me and tattle. It’s pretty funny. And all Natalee wants is to be friends with Kitty!!!

Be my friend?

Rory, my pet
Annie and I are, as you well know by now, doing pets this week.
It’s clearly not a fabulous picture (I seem to be missing the point of this entire venture Annie and I are on… ) but it describes my cat and I. I am typing away at the computer, entirely forgetting I have to take and put up a picture for the pets assigment. Rory decides she needs my attention, so she jumps up onto the computer. When I pick her up, she just curls up into me and settles down. Her motor starts going and she purrs away. The picture looks funny- it looks like she’s trying to get away- but she’s actually not. She was settled in to my chest for as long as I would have let her stay.
She’s my pet. She’s more than my pet, but sshhhh don’t tell anyone.

Jesse

Jake
These are my mom’s boys. They are less cute than handsome, if you ask me. But they are handsome. Jesse’s chin cracks me up – he is all white fur underneath so his chin tends to disappear into his fur, especially in pictures. Jake actually has gorgeous green eyes, but they are not coming out right with the flash. So I’m working on it with him. they are handsome guys though.

O-Dawg
The theme of the week is pets. This picture isn’t exactly the most technically great picture, to say the least, but it looks most like Oscar. I thought it was going to be an all cats week, but I was wrong. Dogs and possibly horses are going to make cameos in my landscape. Oscar (known by me as O-Dawg) is my friend Christine’s baby. They drove me to the airport together. Isn’t he cute?
Princess
This week Annie and I are doing Pets for our assignment.
Although Thursday is Assignment Day, I’m going to feature pets all week. Well, I’m going to try to. This here is Princess, my sister’s cat. I’m heading to kentucky, where I will get to see Jake and Jesse, my mom’s cats. As well as lots of horses. I’m hoping to get some pictures up of them.
We are a cat family. When my Grandma was alive, she always had cats. Me, my mom, and my sister all have 1 if not 2 cats. So, yeah… lots of cats. Very, very cute cats.

Basketball Guy
Annie and I decided on “the Team” for this weeks assignment. Now, this isn’t a picture of the whole team, because I don’t have all those parent’s permission to post pictures of their kids. I think it still works. Caleb is part of a team, and proud to be doing so. He goes to practice every week and a game every week.
My sister described this picture best- it looks like he’s looking over his shoulder thinking, “look what I just did!”

Jack
Annie and I are doing Weekly Assignments. We are trying to push ourselves with our photography. The first assignment is Negative Space- using the space around the subject to put the focus on the subject. I forgot about it, then was late, then really could not figure out what I wanted to take pictures of to do this. So I am cheating, I fully admit it, and using a picture that I took a while ago. Jack. I love how his face is so utterly the focus of this picture.

Before everything was covered in ice

I went out to take some pictures of the snow... turns out it was sleeting, instead!
